News Flash: Many JWs do commemorate theirs and their loved one's birthdays. It is done very discretely and in very closed circles. Yes, it has taken place even in Bethel.

Not even JC, with all his knowledge and perfection, set that example for his followers!
And the Bible does say that we must follow his steps with great care and attention!

In our huge extended 4th generation JW family we absolutely do not allow our young ones to be baptized younger than 16. With a couple of them we have encountered that the urge is strong, but we explain it to them in a way that they understand the example that JC set for his disciples.

Just watched a documentary on the Mormon church and I reckon they have got far more scandal and issues with BS doctrins than the witnesses ever did
by joe134cd inmust admit i didn't know a lot about the mormon church, so i decided to spend my saturday night exploring them on you tube.
after having viewed it i reckon the watchtower dosnt even come close to the scandal and total bs that surrounds the mormon church.
this is just 2 examples.

What is the ONE consistent fact we can state about Jehovah's Witness teaching and Doctrine?
by Terry inuntil the scientific method came along, your guess was as good as mine.. science differed from opinion by qualifying hypothesis with testing and something called falsifiability.. what was it?.
you have to find a way to state a scientific theory by making it disprovable!.
if you have the theory "all swans are white" it is testable and disprovable how?.

1973 was still very dark everywhere when it came to issues of depression. Many of these such stories in all different settings.

Well, the WTBTS is wealthy at this point; and the rank and file keep replenishing said wealth. So, no worries , the money is there. However, it will not be paid without a long and drawn out fight.
It is an uncomfortable truth, but truth nonetheless.

I think I've finally been disfellowshipped
by Godsendconspirator init wasn't my preferred method of leaving but at least i'm as far as i can be from this cult.
over 2 years ago i've tried to fade out but i guess i did it too drastically.
i live in nyc so the entire territory is walkable and everybody in the congregation live pretty close by.
